We won’t be meeting in person this week, but we invite you to spend some time in prayer individually or with your family.

A Prayer For God’s Presence:
Living Lord God, I come praying for your presence.
Your presence, which is not just a gift, but a grace
A means to know that we are not alone.
That in the midst of the mundane, and the melancholy
In the midst of the calm and the chaos we have
A companion, a comforter, a counselor.
We have your very self, beside us, and within us
We have your presence.
PAUSE for SILENCE
And Lord God, I so deeply need you
To enter into those details of life
That I am too unsure to share with anyone else.
I ask that your presence would meet me
Where I am most tender, and most vulnerable.
Would you meet me in my fragility and give me strength
PAUSE for SILENCE
Lord God, our communities deeply need you
To knit together friends, and families, neighbours, and colleagues.
Division comes too naturally for us,
And so, I call on your presence to establish your peace.
A peace that passes understanding,
And passes between the walls we build
To make whole that which we have broken.
PAUSE for SILENCE
Lord God, the world needs you deeply too
For we are too busy, and too frightened, and too fragile
To be the sole authors of redemption and restoration.
Would your presence be known in your good creation.
That you would make wars to cease, to the ends of the earth
That we would see the lion lay down with the lamb,
And that we might be partners with you in that good work
AMEN
