Vania Levans

Lead Pastor

From early on, Vania has had a strong desire to share the love of God with everyone, participating in God's work of reconciliation by extending a particular welcome to those who are marginalized or on the outside. After growing up in Ottawa, she came to Vancouver in 2002 to get her Master of Divinity at Regent College, and has been the Lead Pastor at Marineview since 2017.

Vania is passionate about growing in Christ and as a person, while helping others to do the same. She loves mentoring and discipling, hearing people's stories, and walking alongside them as they recognize and grow in their gifts. Vania has the opportunity to do this both in her pastoral work at Marineview and as a Spiritual Director.

Vania is drawn to the beauty of Vancouver and enjoys taking in the ocean, mountains, and trees on walks, or an occasional kayak trip. She also delights in connecting with friends, curling up with a good book, learning a new language, or listening to - and creating! - jazz.
