In-Person Services

Our Sunday morning worship service is from 10 - 11:30 am and everyone is welcome.

Our gatherings are simple, authentic, and thoughtful. Songs, prayers, and readings are purposefully chosen, and echo the joys and sorrows we experience in our lives and within the world, informed by the reality of a God who comes to us, and a Spirit that transforms us.

Our worship is participatory. There are opportunities to join in singing, corporate readings, silent reflection and taking communion. You are also welcome to simply listen and observe.

Our liturgy is both modern and ancient, with songs and readings from a variety of sources and styles. Since our worship is designed to be participatory, the focus is on including elements which are accessible to everyone.

Our reflections on Scripture are designed to:

  • Inform - What does this Scripture tell us about who God is?

  • Transform - How might the Spirit of God want to transform us?

  • Reform - How are we being invited to join with God in the renewal of all things?

We celebrate communion every week. As we gather around the Lord’s table, this sacred meal unites us with each other and with Christ, in both his death and his resurrection life. Everyone who is drawn to the person of Jesus is welcome to participate.

What About Kids?

Children are an important and beloved part of the Marineview community. After a time of worship through song and prayer with the whole group, children are welcomed to go to their own special programs during the sermon, and then rejoin the larger group again towards the end of the service to celebrate communion.

On the third Sunday of the month, our 10 am service is a time of intergenerational worship where the children and adults remain together. This service is generally shorter, with opportunities for children to participate in all the elements of worship. Kids are also provided with activity kits they can work on during the service.

To read more about why we do this every month, or for more information about any of our kids’ programs, check out our Kids’ page.

after the service

We have time to chat together over coffee and refreshments after the service. This is a great opportunity to meet new people and to connect with those you already know.

You’ll usually hear a lot of laughter at this point, while the children weave in and out of the sanctuary and our conversations. Sharing our real lives together in these moments is encouraging and strengthening.

There is always someone available to pray with you, if you desire.

Communion Brunches

On the first Sunday of each month, our 10 am gathering is a little shorter than normal, and is followed by a potluck lunch. This is a wonderful opportunity to be nourished in both body and soul with laughter and conversation over a delicious meal.

We welcome newcomers and visitors to join us at this potluck lunch!
