Communion Brunches

On the first Sunday of every month, our 10 am gathering begins with a potluck brunch. This is a wonderful opportunity to be nourished in both body and soul with laughter and conversation over a delicious meal. After the meal, we sing, reflect on Scripture together in small groups, hear a short homily, and celebrate communion. We welcome anyone to join us in this brunch!

Whole Church Sundays

On the third Sunday of every month, our 10 am gathering is an intergenerational time of worship where the children and adults remain together. The children’s presence is a blessing to the whole church, and they have the opportunity to observe and experience all the parts of the worship liturgy.

On these Sundays, the sermon is often a little shorter and more child-friendly, and there are also activity packs that they can work on throughout the service.

Social Gatherings

We enjoy being together and often have simple social gatherings in the works. Depending on the season, we might be out walking the forest trails, exploring the beaches, picnicking in the parks, gathering for pizza and games nights, or getting together one-on-one for a hot beverage and conversation.

These gatherings are sometimes planned in advance, and sometimes happen spontaneously after a service or other event, and they are open to everybody. They are a great way to get to know people and to welcome neighbours and friends.

Weekend Retreat

Most years we journey together to beautiful Anvil Island in Howe Sound for a weekend retreat in June. Rest, play, and enjoying God’s creation are priorities for the weekend, as well as connecting with each other over fun, food, and lots of games.
